The Sweet Goodbyes - International Day of Peace

The Majestic, Bellingham, WA

Hundreds in Whatcom County gather every year on International Day of Peace in solidarity with people around the world. In 1982, the United Nations declared this day an annual worldwide 24-hour cease-fire to envision what our world can look like without weapons, violence, and oppression.

Silent auction and info fair from 6-7 p.m. ​Twenty community organizations will be on hand during the social hour to connect with you.​

Howard Harris Lifetime Peacemaker Award This award has been given annually since 2005 to a local peacemaker whose life's work is in the spirit of Howard Harris, one of the founders of Bellingham's peace vigil.

Music by the Sweet Goodbyes & more The program also features music from local duo the Sweet Goodbyes, an update from the Whatcom Peace & Justice Center, and more.

Heliotrope Hotel, 2419 Elm Street, Bellingham

Allied Arts of Whatcom County is celebrating 40 years of supporting our creative community and to celebrate we are throwing one heck of a party! We are invading the Heliotrope Hotel on October 13th and want you to help us lead the charge. Artists and organizations will take over the rooms and create interactive art displays, performances and music will be all over the hotel grounds, and food trucks will keep everyone’s bellies full.

The Sweet Goodbyes will be playing music at 4:30pm.
